Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index records a surge of 2.32%

Nifty IT index ended up 2.32% at 32606.9 today. The index has added 18.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Wipro Ltd rose 4.32%, Coforge Ltd jumped 4.23% and LTM Ltd added 3.39%. The Nifty IT index has decreased 9.00% over last one year compared to the 10.92% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Consumer Durables index has slid 1.78% and Nifty Pharma index increased 1.55% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.51% to close at 23053.1 while the SENSEX increased 0.42% to close at 74459.53 today.
