Quick Wrap: Nifty Energy Index records a surge of 1.47%

Nifty Energy index ended up 1.47% at 36503.5 today. The index has lost 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Aegis Logistics Ltd rose 6.98%, JSW Energy Ltd jumped 6.47% and Adani Energy Solutions Ltd added 5.17%. The Nifty Energy index has increased 4.00% over last one year compared to the 10.03% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index has slid 1.30% and Nifty FMCG index increased 1.21% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.44% to close at 22622.7 while the SENSEX has slid 0.34% to close at 72781.89 today.
