Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index gains 2.36%

Nifty Pharma index closed up 2.36% at 22986.35 today. The index has gained 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd added 9.37%, Piramal Pharma Ltd rose 6.54% and Cipla Ltd gained 5.63%. The Nifty Pharma index has soared 6.00% over last one year compared to the 0.64% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Auto index has dropped 2.35% and Nifty PSU Bank index has dropped 2.19% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.84% to close at 24173.05 while the SENSEX has dropped 1.09% to close at 77664 today.
