Azad Engineering secures Rs 52.68 crore, two-year contract from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited

Azad Engineering Limited has been awarded a long-term rate contract by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), a Maharahstra-based Indian public sector undertaking, for the supply of critical stationary and rotating airfoils (blades) for gas turbines. The contract, valued at approximately Rs 52.68 crore, spans two years and is set to be executed by October 9, 2028. While a similar contract was executed in May 2026, the combined value and duration of the current arrangement are now considered material, marking an important step in Azad’s role in India’s power generation equipment ecosystem and supporting BHEL's efforts to indigenize gas turbine components.
