Escorts Kubota’s tractor sales dropped 16.7% in September 2026, but construction equipment surged

Escorts Kubota Limited reported sales of 15,214 tractors in September 2026, a decrease of 16.7% compared to 18,267 units sold in September 2025, citing factors including a high base effect from prior year GST rate reductions, a shift in the festive season, and patchy monsoon conditions. The company’s construction equipment business, however, experienced significant growth, with sales reaching 795 machines in September 2026, a 92.5% increase over the 413 machines sold in the same period last year. For the April to September period, total tractor sales decreased by 16.2% to 32,628 units, while construction equipment sales rose by 53.9% to 1,764 machines.
