U.S. Stocks end mixed

US equities exhibited a mixed performance on Monday, as a pullback impacted semiconductor and other technology stocks following a prior surge. The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 195.6 points, equating to a 0.38 percent increase, to reach 51,850.55. The S&P 500 edged lower by 4.30 points, a decline of 0.06 percent, settling at 7,807.24. The Nasdaq Composite Index retreated 120.27 points, representing a 0.44 percent decrease, to 27,245.90. Market participants are now pivoting to the forthcoming third-quarter earnings season, commencing Tuesday. Attention will also remain fixed on upcoming US inflation data, seeking indications regarding the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate policy path.
