Wall Street opens the week on a muted note

US equities concluded yesterday in negative territory, pressured by sustained increases in oil prices and a persistent climb in US bond yields. The technology-focused Nasdaq retreated 0.9% to settle at 26,820.38 points, the S&P index decreased 0.8% to close at 7,684.98 points, and the Dow declined 0.7% to end at 51,481.72 points.
