Quick Wrap: Nifty Financial Services Index records a surge of 2.27%, NIFTY climbs 1.77%

Nifty Financial Services index ended up 2.27% at 26071.6 today. The index has added 9.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, ICICI Bank Ltd jumped 3.71%, Bajaj Finserv Ltd added 3.36% and State Bank of India gained 3.33%. The Nifty Financial Services index has increased 24.00% over last one year compared to the 7.69% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Private Bank index increased 2.23% and Nifty Bank index increased 2.21% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 1.77% to close at 23851.65 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 1.96% to close at 78553.2 today.
