Hero MotoCorp to invest up to Rs 1,758 crore for increased stake in Ather Energy

Hero MotoCorp Ltd. announced that its committee of directors approved the purchase of additional equity shares in Ather Energy Limited, an associate company, for up to Rs 1,758 crore. The investment will increase Hero MotoCorp's stake in Ather from 29.88% to approximately 32.8% on a fully diluted basis, and is expected to be completed by September 3, 2026. Ather Energy, incorporated in 2013 and listed on the BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited, reported a turnover of Rs 3,671.76 crore for the year ended March 31, 2026, and is engaged in the design, manufacture, and sale of electric two-wheelers and related charging infrastructure.
