JSW Steel shareholders approve amalgamation of Piombino Steel, securing regulatory nod

JSW Steel Limited convened a meeting of its equity shareholders on August 21, 2026, via video conference as directed by the National Company Law Tribunal, Mumbai Bench, to approve the Scheme of Amalgamation of Piombino Steel Limited with JSW Steel Limited and their respective shareholders. The resolution was approved by shareholders with the requisite majority, with authorizations received from 31 Bodies Corporate representing 43.66% of the company's paid-up equity share capital, totaling Rs 106.76 crore.
