Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index falls 2.05%

Nifty Media index ended down 2.05% at 2058.55 today. The index has slipped 1.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Sun TV Network Ltd shed 10.69%, Tips Industries Ltd gained 4.19% and Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd slipped 3.10%. The Nifty Media index has fallen 6.00% over last one year compared to the 25.32% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index gained 1.32% and Nifty PSU Bank index is down 1.18% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.08% to close at 24347 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.07% to close at 79648.92 today.
